Simple one this, can do it either way, this is from Wetherby though, simply follow the old railway line. Pictures of Wetherby. More Info.

First get to Wetherby and find the Crossley Street car park, it's free but there is a waiting limit of 2 hours, you could find other parking and walk to this point.

From the car park take the small lane between the houses in picture two above, Just go straight down here for about a quarter of a mile you will come to the old railway line that has been converted to a foot path.

Its well sign posted, just mosey on down towards Spoffort, unless you left you car in the 2 hour waiting car park, in which case you'd best get your skates on!!

It is not long before you are out of the tree cover and into glorious sun shine, please note this is probably only one day in the summer and you can never be sure which one!!

Not long and you are in Spofforth, now you can take a relaxing drink in the Castle Pub before the walk back (make sure you go - before you go!).

A little further on into Spofforth is the Castle, worth a peak, there is a walk you can do from the Castle, my do that soon. But for now either set off back the way you came, or if you are a bit of a lump you can get the bus which takes you back to the end of Crossley Street in Wetherby and your car.
